As summer ends and we return to our usual routines, consider making Soundscape part of your routine for fall 2024!

Soundscape is always looking for new members to join, and we hope you'll come visit us during a rehearsal to see if we're the right fit for you.

Soundscape is an auditioned mixed-voice a cappella (unaccompanied) chorus located in Surrey, BC. We rehearse every Tuesday from 7:10 to 9:30 from September to December, and then January to June.
We love to sing a variety of songs together, including pop ballads and jazz classics. Soundscape is welcoming to all who love to sing, even if your main experience is singing to your soap bar in the shower! If you love music and are excited to learn and grow together, Soundscape is the place for you!

Things to know:

• we are a "scent-free" chorus due to severe allergies within the chorus. Please avoid wearing perfume, heavily scented soaps, or laundry detergent on chorus days.
• we are auditioned. This sounds scary, but you don't have to audition your first day! You will be given time to visit the chorus, sing with us, and practice your assigned audition piece before having to complete your audition. Auditions typically take place with the director - you do not have to perform in front of the entire chorus. The audition piece tests various a cappella and close-harmony skills. You don't have to be 100% perfect - mistakes happen and we all have things to work on.   :)

We rehearse in the multi-use space of Fraser Heights Secondary school. Please use the 160th Street parking lot entrance - it's right after the soccer fields.
